Hair Transplantation - FUE Technique
Hair transplant is a remarkable procedure through which hair follicles are removed from the part of scalp or anywhere else in the body and embedded in to the bald area of the scalp. It is a medically safe and a very productive procedure.
The Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a minimally invasive hair transplantation procedure in which follicular unit grafts or hair follicles are individually removed from the fertile area termed as donor site and then individually transplanted to the bald area the bald area termed as the recipient site
The grafts or follicles are extracted using a precision tool and then grafted in the recipient area. There is no linear scar involved or any stitches are required, so your donor area will be minimally noticeable for any specific change.
Why go for FUE?
Follicular unit extraction allows an almost in-differentiable natural looking hairline regrowth with better aesthetic results. Also, what makes FUE more appropriate choice is the fact that if a person wants to keep short hair, there is no visible scar post-surgery. The whole procedure is done under local anaesthesia so patient is conscious throughout the procedure. Even women with female pattern hair loss are candidates for this kind of surgery. The time of surgery depends on the number of grafts transplanted. Typically, 3000 grafts can be transplanted over 6-8 hours in 1 day. If more grafts are required, the surgery may be continued for 2-3 days. After surgery for first 2 days every hour the grafts have be made wet with sterile normal saline (provided with surgery). After 2 days, this may be discontinued. After that light shampooing may be done for the first week. After 2 weeks, the person can resume all routine activities. The hair which are transplanted are expected to form a scab and fall off. New hair start sprouting in about a month and appreciable hair growth is seen in 4 months. Full result can be expected 6-12 months after the surgery.
Are you the right candidate for FUE procedure?
FUE has a number of advantages over other techniques, but not everyone is a candidate for it. Depending on your current hair health status, our expert may recommend FUE if you have:
• Expected number of grafts required to meet your expectations
• Adequate density of donor's hair
• Hair loss projections for future
Benefits of Derma Circles FUE
• No stitches
• Natural-looking and permanent results
• Minimally invasive technique
• Simple outpatient procedure
• Fast recovery
• Simultaneous transplantation of the grafts
Strip excision method of hair transplantation
In this method, the strip of hair is harvested from the back of head. Individual hair follicles separated and then transplanted into the recipient site. This technique is relatively easier to perform, however leaves a scar at the back of head which can be visible if the person chooses to have short hair. This technique has fallen out of favour in the recent years.
